the quote above I shared because it is we who have forgotten our true nature. we as pure souls have come upon this journey. Each one has been given a gift which most die even without realizing. we are the rocks that need the sculpture to chisel out the negative layers. Self limiting beliefs, taught fears, family that pulls our legs showing they care and friends that are jealous of our success thus hindering our progress. The Universe created us to be joyful, happy and we hardly smile!

It is so very true that nature has unlimited inspiration and as every artist digs deep no one is left empty. But this step first would require knowledge. So also our minds are fully loaded with so many thoughts every second and we are confused as to why our prayers are not getting answered or our manifestations are not working. I am not saying manifestations don't work, they do, but with reiki this assists in faster and much better joyful life results.

3) Use powerful symbols. Maybe at times karmic hindrances do come up and you know it is difficult to achieve your drams on just positive affirmations. You choose powerful symbols. Many get tattoos of symbols on body. Some use Bind runes. Some use Reiki and ancient symbols to attract wishes. 

These are sure shot ways to attract anything and everything, remember there is everything in abundance with the Universe, you just have to tap this correctly!

,This is what everyone tells. Is it so easy to paint carefree when there are bills to be paid and food to be on your plate?, is what I hear from many artists who have to run home with their art.
Whenever I see an art, the artist, hear them I can feel the pressures, the feelings of anxiety the loose talk, the thoughts of selling, trying to bargain..
Leave aside all this may be difficult but I am afraid there is no way out. Your emotions and feelings are immediately transferred to the buyer who will repel more from you and of course your art, which is what you do not want. Meditation and positive talk helps to ease out your emotions and calms your senses.
It is also advisable that you definitely find a different source of income,especially in the beginning of your artist career when making art is more and sales few. Study art but paint only originals.Each one must try to find their own path, inner souls longing,  and make a place in this world. You are unique God made you so, do make yourself so.
Sharing seven alternative sources of income you as an artist can earn while your art soars the sky! 
1) Make small art on paper. Yes this way it will be that you invest less and also can sell in at cheaper rates. The beginning years with making art you will need to hone your skills and that will only happen by making loads o art. Make small!
2) Offer art garage sales at family or friends functions. I have not done this but most artists mention to having good sales at such events. Also with the emotional factor friends, family, neighbors do come up and support your art.
3) You can sell prints of the large canvas paintings that you have made. This will allow you to keep your original art prices high and also give you some cash.
4) Start teaching. no better way than to start teaching art to those who wish to learn. of course nowadays You Tube is roaring with tons of art videos on art techniques and art styles. Yet, the ground level advice still works. People still wish to learn from artists, so if you are an Arts graduate with a BFA degree, go ahead and share your skills and earn. You can also take up a teaching job, but don't forget to keep painting for your self.
5) Making posters and advertisements, some artist love to make drawings and catchy cartoons. I also did in the beginning making digital thirst designs and quotes with art. Didn't earn as they would always copy the designs and then say they didn't like anything. That is the part of my journey!
6) You can sell art prints from reputed online sites, especially Fine Art America rules in matter of  selling world wide art prints and art merchandise products. check my portfolio for more than 500 original art images Fine Art America Rizwana Mundewadi
7) Write and earn through Google Adsense. That may not give you loads of money as you don't know how this works but if you are persistent you can earn part time cash. Keep writing on interesting subjects for you niche and you will have your share of readers. Even You Tube has the option if you wish to earn by posting informative interesting videos. I have not earned this but have my You Tube Channel the Red Pilgrim.
8) How about part time painting odd jobs with neighbors,friends and relatives, yes, I do paint furniture, old metal stands and just about anything can be upcycled and made brand new, share your skill and you may get orders too. Over the past many years I have repainted furniture, wooden chairs, cabinets, made tea table tops with tiles and even hand painted old tree branches as home decor items, few of which still rock at our home entrance since year 2000!

Signature of an artist, the most important thing that increases the value of your prized possession. As art collectors pay in huge sums to purchase a rare artwork of a famous artist it is the signature that increases the value of your painting.  A Picasso, Leanordo,  Raza and Hussain goes off in huge amounts $ and a new artists work goes for less $ so it is all in the signature. A signature of a famous artist indicates the years of hard work they have put in their paintings career as a result the prices of their original artworks and painting prints rises gradually over the years. Some follow the old traditional way to sign with colour or ink on the right hand side bottom of the canvas or paper, whereas some like to sign their original paintings on the left bottom side of the canvas. Many artists use the same brush and left over colour from the same painting as this creates a connection and harmony with the artwork they have painted. Some use black or contrast paint so that their signature is seen prominently on the painting, after all we all paint for recognition! You may use any technique to sign your original paintings, but it would be better to use the same colours or contrasting colours that have been used in the painting as this helps you to sign your painting without it looking like a sore thumb on your work.

You may create your own signature style of signing your paintings. As for prints you have a certain standard procedure to sign which has date, month year along with the number of prints published and the respective number on the print.

Most important technical details for selling  art successfully online is to make an attractive home page, friendly for the eyes. If there are many images, videos and clutter chances are the prospective buyer and art collector may find difficult to focus on the paintings. too much seeking their attention

Price your paintings in a fair method. Now this is a very tricky part as art and paintings have no parameters for comparison and judging. You consider the cost of materials used and the online gallery commissions as well as shipping and transport charges when you are selling art online.Still I would not like to mention much here as it depends on each and every individual artist. And online sales vary from 100$ to 1,00,000$ , no rules here.
Be truthful, buyers and collectors like a true artist and human being, your behaviour online indicates a lot about your art. Give right technical details of your paintings. technical measurements, size, weight, shipping, availabiltiy- if this particular painting is available for sale, it would be very sad when you get some buyer or art collector interested in your painting and on enquiring they find out that this painting is sold, be in touch and regularly update your paintings website and online galleries portfolios.
This is also a  way of indicating your are alive and painting and will go on painting! very important for collectors to know you are here to stay!
 It is true that keywords are very important in online presentations and sales. A YouTube channel video gets many hits in a single hour whereas viewers and buyers of art will be limited. Trick here is to use simple words to describe your art. People searching on google and other search engines use simple easy words, no commas, no capital letters, maybe sometimes your paintings may come up in a Google search and the viewer may become a buyer, who knows what can happen, anything can happen, with online sales of paintings.

Artists from every genre will agree that it is very important for every artist to visit art galleries, meet artists , have creative discussions on art and art techniques and of course keep creating art. I have been painting since more than a decade and have met artists in person many years back and this was a refreshing experience to meet an artist and attend their exhibition of artworks and paintings. Not only can we see the paintings, we feel them , we smell and also experience them in a personal visit to an art gallery. You come in direct contact with the person who has created this artwork and then of course if you like the painting there are sales. this is what I learned from personally meeting an artist. the paintings are only one aspect of the conversation if you as an artist are interested in selling your paintings.

Moving with the trends and displaying artworks online it becomes difficult to meet art collectors and buyers of your art directly. With art galleries spaced out far away and the time and energy required to travel and of course the hectic schedules of transporting your paintings with care during an exhibition, all are a part of every artists life. Internet and online galleries have broken this shell. Many artists, even myself, prefer to display art online galleries and conserve the energy for painting. After having successfully displayed paintings for more than a decade on various online art galleries I have few simple display suggestions and tips for other fellow artists.
Tips for artists to successfully display paintings on online art galleries-
Select your best works , by this I mean the paintings that are complete, in good condition, and what you love to show the world,  according to you, as best is a very relative term and has different meanings for different artists.
1- Good photography is a plus point to display your paintings with the most good colour and sharpness, most near to real work. The more clarity in your art photos the more easier it is for buyers to see your artwork, details and create interest, Blurred images online repel viewers and may even drive away a prospective buyer.
2- Select few paintings first and try to learn the internet display technicalities. The choices , the backgrounds and all the options the online art gallery offers you for displaying your art. It is important to view how your paintings look online. So that you can change for better style and improve either your photography or your display options in the beginning. Imaging uploading 20 paintings and then having to edit them all!
3- Keep time at hand when displaying and uploading artworks. This all artists will agree that it takes time to upload and the whole process is some time consuming. and not just a click. You have to upload images, fill up the right details , for this keep the painting in front of you while uploading, this works best for me and saves quiet a lot of time.
4- It is advisable to give the correct  measurements of the painting, avoiding the unpainted area, blurred areas and reasonable borders kept aside for framing, only the complete painting must be visible , this is especially important if  you are a selling artist who sells paintings per inch or according to size. Keep a reasonable border area and then give the measurements of your paintings.
5- Medium in which you have painted is a very important aspect which needs clarification when displaying paintings online. Every  online art gallery has a website which has many options which the artist while uploading paintings or artworks has to select. You may be an oil painter, a water colour artist or a mixed media artist doing collages or murals.
6- Sometime you may find difficulty in selecting any option, maybe you wish to give more importance to your painting theme, your topic or your art painting technique.  All this can be explained in the option given for description. You may describe your art technique, the process of painting and how you got the inspiration for this particular artwork. It is very important that you communicate well here as this is the only contact you have with the buyers and art collectors,and they will read the following and only then relate well to your paintings.
7- Be online and develop contacts, send emails to collectors and buyers often or consider any options your online art gallery offers, free or paid for marketing your artworks so that they reach as many people as possible. Face Book, Twitter, Google Plus, Orkut, My Space and many online social networking sites help artists to promote their art online. The viewing of paintings is very important for the sales meter to run up. For any online artist the viewership is most important , that is to reach many people, out of which few maybe interested in your paintings and a selected few may buy .

The fusion of both the energies, earthly as well as spiritual, as I have been so confused with these thoughts over the past many years.Religion and spirituality are two totally different concepts, am clear very much now.

How to Paint With Glass Paints Easy Tips and Advantages

 Glass tables and centre tables are the most popular forms of furniture found in every home. I keep doing lots of DIY' s with old furniture and recycling them gives so much joy and what more the furinutre has increased life. Since glass is transparent and reflects light making the room more bright as a result more spacious we see many homes having glass tops for side tables, centre tables, dining tables and even shelves in wall units. Not only does glass tables reflect light they also bring out beauty in all the antiques and fancy decorative knick knacks that you have displayed. But after few years this becomes boring and I have come up with this quick idea which is very cheap and also does not require much time to refurbish your old centre table or dining table.

Glass painting is very easy and does not require much time. Nowadays many art dealers supply readymade kits for glass painting as hobby ideas. Here you get ready made colours in bottles with nozzles. These nozzles can be of different thickness as you wish to make fine art or abstract art.


Easy Simple Tips for Glass Painting- Select any glass top in your home, whether you wish to refurbish any old furniture having glass top or make a new glass painting

First and foremost clean the surface with soap water and dry it spic and span as dirt or any material on glass will get stuck up with the glass paint and give you an uneven surface and shabby artwork. I use Colin liquid and then also clean it with newspaper to bring shiny clean surface or mirrors and glass table tops. 

Trace the design on tissue paper or stick on edges the ready design paper available ,you wish to paint on the lower side of glass top.

Use liner to outline the design. Here there are many colours of glass liners available and you can choose according to your design and preferences. Golden, black and silver are most common though you can be creative in other colour liners also.

Let the outline dry thoroughly so that the colours that you paint afterwards do not get mixed and muddied with your glass paint outliner.

Keep the surface of glass top to be painted flat on ground or on another table top as glass paints are very liquid and will fall with gravity. This is the most important and tricky part of using glass paints.

The outlines need care and sharp outlines will make your artwork and glass painting more attractive.

Glass paints are easily available in ready paint colours bottles and if you wish to shade colours you may need a brush or else you can apply paint directly from the bottles with the help of nozzles provided.

Shading tips for glass painting- remember to let your first colour dry off completely then go and apply shading with other colour. If you have learnt the art thoroughly then you can do it simultaneously also. Leaves, flowers especially roses will need shading to make them appear lively and bright.

In glass painting images of Gods or portraits use appropriate colours and let the darker colours dry off first and then add light tones to them or else all colours mix and make the glass painting muddy.

Remember glass paints when dried cannot take on other colors except for overlapping the previous colour so if shading is required it needs quick and easy movements with glass paints.

Why I love to do glass painting as this is very easy and quick. You can be so creative and free in choosing any idea to paint on glass tops with glass colours. The freedom to use right from the bottle and without messing your hands glass paintings take hardly an hour to dry off and though your need to keep them safe from dust and fingering till they are completely dry, give your glass painting at least a night and day to completely dry off. this is the same as when we paint with water colours or acrylics.

Care of glass painted top of your centre table-never use scrubber to wipe the table top which has been painted with glass paints. Avoid any sharp objects or artifacts as this will scrape off the glass paint from the glass top. Clean with soft cloth and soapy water and do not, remember do not let water remain on the top as the glass paint will peel off. Keep the surface dry.

Our Tea Table side table has become personalized art statement furniture of the living room as it is unique and looks very attractive. The outer metal frame part which was rusted was also painted using oil paints in abstract pattern to make the table a whole new piece of furniture. I do love and enjoy presenting tea and refreshments to guests and this has become a conversation piece!

Sacred geometry is an important genre of styles which spiritual artists follow. Not only do they break up every part of the environment but also the whole universe and self is also expressed in form of sacred art.

 Many interior decoraters and space designers prefer to use contemporary and modern paintings as the traditional landscapes and still lifes sometimes become monotonous and boring. With no limitations to geometric artworks there can be any colours and any shapes to express your own unique preferences and choices. Doing abstract untitled works gives me the freedom to express and each shape is symbolic and an expression of self, world and universe. On studying about different symbolic meanings of shapes, reiki symbols, feng shui science of placement and other auspicious symbols in Buddhism these early cubism and geometric artworks still take a place close to my heart, as they are innocent works without any reading and information on art. It was as if I was being led and just had the energy spurt to paint, no doubt there are so many small geometric paintings in all colours and each one different and unique.
I love colours and my early works had loads of them. All spilled in one painting , I could not control the urge of restricting my colour palette to a few colours. Cool and warm schemes though I am aware would never be with me till I finish any artwork, and all rules would go to the drain once I would get in to paint. Now I have tried to learn to restrict and minimise my paintings with at least few less colours still you will find my paintings full of energy, loaded with many bright fresh colours.
