12 steps to improving mental health on this World Mental Health Day by a Reiki Master healing artist

World mental health day is celebrated on October 10. mental health is such an issue that still goes unnoticed. with society putting pressures of stigma people hesitate to bring out their emotions, mental issues, even hide and take medications and avoid visiting any therapist fearing the label of being called mentally ill for life.
We are all imperfect, some just smile it off!

The theme of this year' 2019 world mental health day  is about suicide prevention.
Every year more than 800000 people take their lives(data Google)  with reasons going unnoticed and never understood. mental health never shouts loud always. for some it comes out as tantrums, panic attacks, anxiety attacks, anger bursts, irritability and always on the edge. But for some it is a quiet inner chaos that they never express in front of anyone.
We all know about depression and low feelings which are most times normal in everyone life depending upon personal hormonal , past experiences, environmental incidence. There are also Bi Polar disorders that is times/days/moths of very high boosting energy and times of very low energy. Families have  hard time handling people and some do good with little help from counselors or medications.
Its a difficult journey...facing anxiety, panic attacks since past many years am now at peace , a lot. You never can control outside situations and even your family never tries to support you at such times. Each one going through their own struggles. A panic attack is such a dangerous episode that after this the person feels guilty, confused, low, angry on self. No amount of explanations to yourself will give you the answer to  why the panic attack came up.
Your mental health has a lot to do with your past history. Reiki healing links traumas before birth, past life incidences and even birth procedure to having mental issues in present life. Why even a small moment of mother leaving the child alone may get embedded as fear of socializing and trusting anyone later on for love. People never go deep into trying to understand behavior of their family members or themselves. Without being judgmental it is difficult to understand mental issues of other people.
Most times when people are labelled as arrogant, dictator, commanding, selfish, extremely shy, extremely extrovert, there is the past that can give a lot of understanding in the nature of the individual. If you read old Masters Book of Reiki , traumas during birth, before life traumas, this life childhood traumas, you get to understand so much about every person. You stop judging them...you stop questioning them...you can gradually bring experiences in their life to erase the negative memory and make this transformed into a positive one... that of trust...compassion...pure love...bonding...and being happy for self...taking care of self...giving self priority without feeling guilty.
Been there...I know..
Since the past many years working upon myself, my mental health. Sharing few personal steps I took taking charge of my life and my happiness.
1) Read a lot on the subject. this helps you to understand yourself, and realize you are not alone.
2)  Learn to make friends, it is difficult.Have someone , this is such a big world, find at least a few people whom you can talk to in times of distress.  Keep that connection. It was such a sad time when Robin Williams died...he acted in comedy movies , such an Awesum actor and he couldn't find anyone to let go of his inner fears. That was a turning point in my life, which gradually has been working in my mind since years. Why?
I still have more plant and bird friends , but you can, you need to connect truly with family, siblings, friends. Whatever relations that helps you to express freely and helps you to let down your guard and speak open. If you find it difficult read the ending of this post, what I did!
3) It is ok, to be facing mental problems. It is not always your fault. remove the guilt factor first. this is the first step of acceptance that will make way for your inner healing.
4) get yourself checked up medically. this is really important. Deficiency or lack of nutrients, hereditary diseases,  body does react in strange ways. If you find the cause, things change drastically. All diseases and imbalances today have modern medicines.
5) Take help! and take help carefully from those you trust. No, I am not suggesting you start medications. Most psychiatric medicines today have a lot of side effects of extra sleepiness and putting on weight. Try to find a counselor who can help you heal without medicines or with minimal medicines only in the beginning. Therapy is more important and workable than medicines in most mental health cases.
6) Do not jump for easy road of taking medicines for every anger spurt you get! My personal experience here is please do not label yourself by others saying about you. If you are surrounded by assholes who are themselves unstable, they have no right to judge you! get your voice straight now! Give some time to yourself, your body, your personal likes, what you want from life...your goals...this will help you to connect with yourself. Then it becomes very easy to connect with the rest of the world.
7) Most times it is your soul expressing, your intuition guiding you and your spirit =guides saving you from wrong decisions. that's what happens with me. Over now, from all the doubts now I confidently accept the intuition warnings and it has never let me down. Check upon your guides, meditate, you get so many answers to your mental behavior. (even in most chronic mental health cases meditation has proved to help and ease out behavior)
8) Routines help! Exercise helps! Healthy food helps! The body may act as a friend or a  devil, take charge of it! Making routines helps to bring hormones in harmony and you have control somewhat over your behavior expressions.
Right healthy choices of food helps a lot.
9) Spoken self affirmations, written affirmations (I am the visual type, I need to have images in front of me) have worked for me since past many years, alone the journey would have been difficult, I have to thank so many writers of Reiki, Motivational books, self help books, and of course Google , You Tube for bringing in a world of information available to you. its now just that you have to take the first step of acceptance "of self" and then you find so many ways to heal.Thanking Robin Sharma, Rhonda Byrne, and the novels of Robin cook, Jeffrey archer, magazines, and the old books sellers,  and so many more that were an important part of my journey.
10) Action! Act Today! this is not an advertisement, this is for your mental health! whatever has been there in past, do not waste a precious moment more of your life in procrastination. I have heard so many people facing mental issues talk very calmly about doing so much but they never take any action. trust me here, no one will do the work, you have to do it yourself!
Do not fall into the trap your brain is convincing you of a tomorrow, do it today! do it now. Boasting of how you will take care of yourself, will lead you nowhere unless you take action and act now. Do not wait upon for support, people are already going through their own inner struggles. But they may help you if you take the first step.
11) GOD! having faith in the larger plan of the universe. Performing prayers, some rituals, eases out mental issues to some extent. Yes, of course, the Universe has a plan. God never does injustice. believe in karma and keep doing your bit, a lot of soul chaos will ease out.
12) help those who are facing the same as you! This has been proved, and will also bring in good karma. Trust me on this here, praying for unknown people gives so much peace, I just cannot express it in words here...when i answer an email on Feng shuii guidance or I bless someone going through financial mess with Reiki, its just between me and the Universe. You can make a habit of praying for your family, friends, colleagues and even those who hurt you, this will bring so much peace in your life and many metal issues will automatically gets sorted out. You will attract all the good things in life!

Lots of Reiki  healing and making reiki healing art, since past twenty years, Still working upon myself and my obsessions with painting small on paper. A lot has been sorted out since past many years of working upon self, self healing, healing others, and making art.
Stability, focus, has what has emerged now, the whole process was worth it! Reiki Blessings to you Today on this World Mental Health Day!
Khalil Gibran quoted"out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls, the most massive characters are searched with scars"
Remember stigma, bias has labelled mental health, it is nothing to be ashamed of.
Your mental health is not your personal failure.
People think that to be strong you must never cry, you must never feel pain, you must never express emotions..it is not so..the strongest people accept their scars and use them as stepping stones/ medals for progress.
Sometimes its ok, not to be ok..we were not meant to be perfect!
I think we all have our inner struggles..some just face it gracefully and never let others know about it while some find it difficult.

What I have noticed in the past many years of reading on this subject, only handful genuinely have mental sicknesses. Most are facing loneliness, emptiness, senselessness...fill the void and all will get sorted by itself!
Remember the Universe does not like void or empty spaces, it fills itself with anything that comes on the way, choose your thoughts carefully, choose your experiences carefully and set your life starlight today!

Vironeka Tugaleva Quoted" A healer is someone who seeks to be the light she  had in her darkest moments"
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
YOU MATTER!
Feel free to comment, and do try the steps, did it help you? did you try any of these  before? email me, I would be blessed to connect and also share, guide!
