Faced with artists block, many artists at some time or other go blank, with the blank canvas, staring and staring, here a scrap book, note book  or sketch book comes very handy. Today we have mobile phones and laptops that have all our data and we can anytime Google search and get recharged with inspirations for making art.

I have this old file where i stock any picture, colored photos of flowers, textures, or just anything that attracts me in from of inspiration, hits any of my senses, or all of my senses! I am the visual type so I need the symbols or image in front hence I make affirmations healing art to connect better. My house has many paintings hanging on every wall, I am surrounded by symbols of happiness, health wealth and abundance!

There is my favourite notebook!

It is very important that you keep stock of all material, posters, pictures, colored magazine clips, advertisements, I also keep cut outs of inspirational quotes, even if they may not help always in making  art they uplift the mood and inspire to make happy art.
Sketching is very important for every artist. The more you sketch the more you paint better, as say other artists, I am afraid I am not into much of this, that is it is not necessary that you always have a blue print of sketches, n numbers and then finalize one, not always possible, where is the soul in the art, painting , and very often I have never been able to follow even my own sketch.
Painting for me is too much about personal choice, personal strokes and colors. Though sketching will help in hand finger control, which is I guess very essential for any portrait, or landscape artist. So with the scrap book, file and notebook for storing all ideas, jotting down inspirations, and stocking pictures there seems a bundle of  ideas which never leave me dry!
Notebooks are very important for every artist as goes the saying, ideas are like rabbits , they disappear even before we take notice. And this would very often happen the idea would just go off when in front of the blank canvas, grab just any bot of paper and jot down few points sot hat you can refer after wards.
Keeping your art area, cupboard, studio organized will help in keeping up the creativity level along with note books for referring later.

You may buy any note book, folder, or writing pad, now adays we have note books tabs for storing ideas and as the old way of writing with hand seems to fade away there will come a time when making with a hand brush stroke will cost $ millions! actually people have forgotten to use pen or pencil, even children are studying in virtual web form. I am keeping malign raw calligraphy art, I know this visionary artist works will be longer than after I am gone! 
The notice board also is of great help, do keep a small ply wood board, soft wood where you can pin up ideas, pictures, photographs that help in getting new ideas for painting. And of course, senior artists who have sold lots of art, also keep record of their artworks and in whose collection they are, inventory of sold artworks. Also must keep note on art displayed in art galleries, online galleries , and finally telephone numbers of your art collectors, art lovers, and artist friends.
Lap tops and tabs are also good to store ideas as I type faster than i write by hand! Photoshop, and other soft wares are also great to boost your creativity, and as I did short course in web designing graphic designing, still feel the old way works best for me! pen and paper, So if you are an new artist, or emerging artist, and still have no personal diary book,  first set up a book, scrap book, note book and sketch book, and you will keep getting new ideas for great artworks! which will come handy after many years, as in the beginning we are full of ideas to paint, but as time goes, over the years, as say senior artists we will need all the inspiration we can, to keep the fire burning, to get a stroke on the blank canvas! And who knows as you get famous over the years your scrap notebooks of scribbles will fetch millions!

Taking Your Art Home, Travelling with newly owned painting

Paintings art, when purchased directly from artist or through an art gallery is all yours now. How do you travel with your art?
It is very important that you take care of the new addition to your home while transporting painting. If purchased from an art gallery do involve yourself with the packaging and wrapping up of your precious new painting. The gallery representatives will do their best in packing but in case of exhibitions or sales there may not be enough facilities for packing the sold art. While you go to purchase paintings it is better that you drive , have your own vehicle or transportation facility. This helps especially in case of purchasing framed artworks.
In exhibitions if you have purchase dart directly from artist , do observe the packaging technique and what was used and how, this will help you to later unpack the art when your reach home. Rolled canvas need to be packed properly to avoid bending and scratching of paint from the surface of the painting. The outer section must be covered securely with cardboard roll so that the art can withstand wind, unexpected shower rain, and even sunlight while travelling. There may be packing  to absorb shock while travelling and also wrappers of paper or soft cloth or even a spare canvas to protect the painting while packing.
In case your driver or someone else has to pick up the art piece from the gallery do give proper instructions to take care of your art while transporting your painting to your home.
If it is a rare precious expensive artwork do take care where you halt for a tea or snack break in between journey as you may lose your art due to negligence. Gems, stones and colourful crystals, I have been studying the healing effects of stones since the past few years and have come up with few beautiful healing paintings, especially with the prominent stone Amethyst that has been used since ages by all healers. With being near the important healing stones Jade, Amethyst, and Rose Quartz along with Tiger Eye and Ruby and Pearls I have begun painting these in my healing art imparting the positive energy into them.

Collecting semi precious stones has become another hobby and whenever I see any colored shiny sparkling stone, there is a spark in my eyes and a desire to own this colorful healing stone.
With visiting the Rohtang pass, Tibet border, last year 2012, Manali hill station, Himachal pradesh, , the huge majestic mountains, the valleys, the glistening sun against the snow clad mountains, from where I am proud to have become the care taker of some rare stones, rocks as anyone would call them, i prefer to call them healing stones, as the history goes back over the years when healers used to heal with these special rocks found from the mountains and valleys.

New Abstract Cubism Painting Pink Triangle, Jan 2013

New cubism abstract oil painting on canvas, 'The Pink Triangle', with so much emotional turmoil going on in my life,  it is very difficult to make happy art. Sometimes i find it hard to understand why did  this path choose me , of healing, healers go through so much energy problems which the world does not know about. Reiki healing has every healers aura opened and as we act like hollow channels to transfer energy from the universe to others around we are so prone to negative energy  attacks, other while they feel happy and love to spend time with us we are drained of the energy and have to reboot ourselves often. Have been advised to stay away from negativity and also keep aura healthy strong, still sometimes the accidents happen.As years go about to form a level of energy it drains away in days when we are exposed to negative energies around, one of the reasons why i have more birds and plant friends than humans!
 artists sure need commitment and loads of quiet time to bring out art, especially healing art.

The painting came out when its energy  was most required by me. As the healing triangle with its waves and colors, yin and yang as the idea began for making an artwork on 'Summer Solstice' was the original name in the beginning in my mind,  the most yang moment in the garden , which falls on June 21 every year, and the idea transformed into a colorful artwork, where there are lots of red orange flowers, pots representing earth energy and circles and white flowers for metal element for strength, money luck.The central mandala structure in abstraction and cubism style follows the principles of mandala paintings but appears to a cubism abstract.The sacred shape movement in Octad two overlapping triangles forms the central core of the artwork, where i usually do not go in for a perfect Octad, still till now, maybe later years may show a complete harmony Octad symbol in my healing paintings..
Red triangle for the immense energy is over powered by the pink triangle of love, healing. As the tip of the triangle shape is very powerful to direct energy and the tow base points balance energy the triangle is a shape that is best to spread energy in all directions, but only after square and circle.
Scared shapes used in this cubism artwork the painting is a colorful abstract symbolic painting for healing. How the pink came into being is of the years of obsession with stone, rose quartz, which i knew would form a part of my healing painting at some time.Rose quartz is a beautiful stone which has proved to be used by many for its healing properties and universal love powers. the rose quartz is a pink stone opaque, and sends out positive vibes according to  intentions. When there is loads of negative energy there are instances where the rose quartz stone has cracked if not purified and cleansed on time. This rose quartz helps an individual to accept things and learn to love yourself, which is the first step towards healing. Once there is acceptance then there is healing and happiness peace.
Colors used are earth energy as well as spiritual energy colors with red, brown, greens bringing prosperity energy and white and pink lilac bringing spiritual energy to the cubism abstract artwork.

Spiritual meaning of Shapes Cubism Geometric Art

Sacred geometry and cubism paintings done in early years where squares formed my world. Shapes will take you back to your childhood but now they are made by tons of knowledge and intentions behind them. Here along came sacred geometry relating shapes to spirituality. Shapes, each individual shape as we learnt in childhood were simple and yet as we grew we started giving new meanings to them. Where a ball was a circle and a box was a square. Spiritual meanings of shapes have a vast literature which will fill up pages.

As I started reading spiritual representations of each shape it followed in my art , over the years these shapes found different representations. Feng shuii symbolism is immense as shapes can be representing elements. Circles formed most part of my geometric cubism art. followed by square and triangles, and then the Octad. A Circle was a whole world, an complete whole, indicating connections and linked to the whole universe. A square for its four corners represented stability with the Octad, two over lapping squares, a diamond shape, representing both heaven and earth energies, total order in which all things find their place, a simple action of harmonization of conflicting demands takes place. Diamond shapes evokes activeness whereas square , stability. Triangle for fiery fire fame.

The circle totality for life, we can link faith, mind intentions and action into a symbolic geometric art. Square is in fact the best shape as it is uniform and has equal sides. The four sides being exactly equal the square brings feelings of stability and peace.The four corners reaching out for all the four directions bring about harmony and balance. The energy moving out in all directions  indicating the empty centre,a gain a powerful source of energy within.

The east direction represented by rectangle shape, the south by triangle, the north by wavy flowy, the west by round and the centre, earth element by square.

Reiki symbols followed by higher level  Reiki Seichem Symbols and of course Chinese Calligraphy , the unique beautiful symbols for good luck, health, wealth, happiness, prosperity, respect, grace, longevity and umpteen other symbols used in each healing artwork. Symbols flowing in my art with pure intentions and energy. 
As the symbols overflowed, spiritual feelings emerged forms with color. A feeling to create simple art, i loved this geometry cubism artwork especially because it is so simple and yet so powerful. Following the principles of color symbolism and sacred geometry, a play of shapes and colors!
