Basically with the famous old ancient mythical mysticism, cats with their nine lives are symbolic of rebirth. Resurrection. Change and new beginnings. As their are also associated with darkness, they are considered guardians of darkness, night. In childhood I would get scared with black cats but knowing now that they represent guidance and protection from your ancestors is a respite. Beliefs about cats still continue, people avoid cat crossing pathway, people feel negative spirits are lurking if cats are seen, or that when they cry there may be a death news soon. It is  a dream to have a large studio and make large sized canvas paintings. Till no the largest I have painted is 50x60 inches. Artists have a difficult time doing paintings without spilling some around. Since the past seventeen years I have been painting from my home studio, my home works as an inspiration and it actually is more of an art gallery with all walls covered by my artworks.
