Every artist has their own inner soul calling and different reasons for following an artists career. Many people find the glam part and the large amounts of prices quoted on original artworks fascinating and choose to become artists for quick money and income. why do you paint? to earn $ dollars, pay your bills, you may have umpteen reasons for why you paint. for me- It was never about money for me right from the beginning. The search for identity, to have a firm ground under my feet, to understand the whole process of the universe, a struggle of my soul to connect with the universe, to spread the message of love healing happiness, a reason for coming to existence, and of course leaving a part of me even after I have left this world, some paintings that would bring a smile on your face, that which would strike the right chord, even after the physical body has left!
