Every artist has their own inner soul calling and different reasons for following an artists career. Many people find the glam part and the large amounts of prices quoted on original artworks fascinating and choose to become artists for quick money and income. why do you paint? to earn $ dollars, pay your bills, you may have umpteen reasons for why you paint. for me- It was never about money for me right from the beginning. The search for identity, to have a firm ground under my feet, to understand the whole process of the universe, a struggle of my soul to connect with the universe, to spread the message of love healing happiness, a reason for coming to existence, and of course leaving a part of me even after I have left this world, some paintings that would bring a smile on your face, that which would strike the right chord, even after the physical body has left!
I have always advised and continue doing so to every artist who asks my opinions and guidance that never be in this for only money. If you are here for money please don't, many people have mentioned many times to me, that paintings don't sell, so don't waste time in this career , energy and resources. take a different route where you can earn more money. many famous artists suffered their whole life in poverty, until their work was recognized acclaimed by the world. Most also have become famous only after their death and it is sad to see famous artists works prized at millions of dollars now in world famous art galleries' and with art collectors.. where the artist during their life spent a life full of poverty and suffering. This is a trying one, a different path, the less travelled one, where you may get storms and hails, loneliness and solitude, roughness and no place to rest, still you continue the journey.. only the selected few.. gradually as I heal myself and continue making healing art the whole process has emerged as something different than from where I began. Each unfolding page of life, of the mysteries of nature, the hidden messages of the universe, going with the flow, time and again questioning my existence..
Is it wrong to be happy to see your work on the walls? is it wrong to admire your babies/original artworks in solitude and among people? is it wrong to feel great with the signing off of an completed artwork? I still cannot express the joy in work when I complete a painting and then frame it and it is displayed. what does the signature mean.. why the innermost need to leave a part of you..it is more about identity, more about recognition, more about sharing your emotions and yes I do agree money also is a part, but only a very very small part of the whole journey. It is only a side dish, a by product of this spiritual journey .. as I continue to paint happy healing art, with the aim of making art and leaving the rest to God, I thank him for the art materials and the creative flow.. which is replenished as I slow down immediately.. so much to paint, so much to write.. so little time..
Money flows so easily as I obsessively continue to make healing art with so much love since so many years, .. it is how to paint beautiful artworks that will be a challenge and never , making art was never about money, it never will be!
When people mention artists there is an image of a ruffled and dirty paint soaked stained clothes person painting alone in solitude with debts and very less to eat! that picture is absolutely a myth! Artists are well balanced people and well groomed stable people, we just go in a different mode while making art. Especially being a healing artist I have become well adjusted and caring compassionate empath over the years. from the angry irritable low self esteem introvert person. As reiki spreads in your life you start to prioritize, you learn self care and self acceptance, you start to communicate well, and then most issues are solved. you are motivated inspired to follow your soul calling which feeds you mind body spirit to continue with tons of energy towards goal fulfillment.

The question remains a challenge why do artists paint?
every artist will have a different story. they will have different soul pains, soul hurts, and karmic journey longings. I hence say whenever you are buying a painting from an artists do try to talk and understand the processes the reasons the titles and why the artwork was painted, you will notice how it brings a sparkle in the eye of the artists as they will explain to you how joyfully they made the piece of art~!
Many leave the path if they have entered for money. You will find hundreds of daily entrant artists on the art platform online who start watching few videos on your tune channels and start making art, exhibiting art and selling paintings. It is sad they leave in few years and stop completely doing total injustice to their skills and talents. they also take a more lucrative profession to earn money faster. making money too is a myth in art career. Not every artists becomes famous and not every painting will sell, this is a fact. So many artists come to my website and ask for advice and start with fifteen, twenty, fifty paintings at most and then wait to sell them or become a famous name over night. I tell them you have to give your life for it , those famous world class artists have already done that, and please do not enter for fame and money, it only comes with time efforts and dedication towards the art. Universe is never partial to anyone, unless you put the hard work you cannot get fame. There are side pathways easy where people are now doing heavy publicity on social media giving costly advertisements and buying followers to become famous. Let me tell you likes, and comments don't matter with real artists and in fact art collectors too question the authenticity of that artist as to when do these artists get time to paint? if they are 24x7 on social media! So spend more time on making art than talking and social media postings!
There is so much satisfaction when I see my collection of more than two thousand five hundred original paintings. I tear so many every time I clear my studio since year 2000 because I need space to make more art. I recycle them, repaint some and tear burn them, adding the ashes to my garden plants. And I continue making art! Once an artist, always an artist! art feeds my heart spirit soul.
When you buy an original hand painted artwork from me do understand you are not buying a piece of paper, you are buying a piece of the artists energy, a chunk of the precious time they would have otherwise spent on other personal and family priorities, a piece of their soul a part of them, with the painting. Which cannot be reimbursed with money! and when you display it in your home be assured the artist has done their best to spread joy to your world!
