Pablo Picasso the father  of cubism, the first abstract art in form of cubism style. A visual language of squares representing an image. It is a fact that Picasso depicted three dimensional objects into a two dimensional but he never progressed to make total abstract works, so strong was his upbringing and thought processes ingrained in his psyche about figurative art.
He had brought a tremendous change into art after the impressionists and the fauvists .

Since childhood Pablo was fascinated with drawing geometric forms and shapes.He continued painting even without earning enough to support him form his art,  and Picasso "was the boy-genius who had grown disinterested in classical art"
The famous Blue period where all his works dominated with color blue. A more sentimental and emotional works brought forward this blue period and he was deeply affected by the death of his close friend Casagemas.A series of paintings depicting his emotional state of shock and depression, the blue period, after which began the pink period, the prominence of the color pink, the rose period which lasted till the end of cubist period.
"he simply enjoyed to imitate other artists,just like an actor, to occasionally emulate the styles of other artists,"
Cubism is not just an art style it marked the entry of a new style of abstract art by Picasso.
Picasso's the rose period is of greater importance in art history. Started 1904 a more optimistic style and positive brighter colors used in works during the Rose Period.
While the blue period depicts sorrow and mourning, the rose period depict acceptance and a life of its own. The art pieces became more abstract subjects and characters in his works could not be specified as a person.
He continued to explore expressionism combined with classicism along this rose period. The most expensive painting from May 2004 to June 2006 was "Boy with Pipe" The Harlequin period where picasso inspired by circus artists 19th century.  He continued to make figurative art but not keeping this as his prominent style.According to some he did "adapt his style to the wishes of his potential buyers, balancing artistic with commercial needs".
Picasso Black Period 1906 to 1907 where he was influenced by African art, a series of drawings, paintings and wood carvings.
One of the reason for Picasso interest in African Totem Art was the element of exorcism, he identified with.His friend Alice Toklas summed this up when she first saw "Demoiselles" as "painful and beautiful..and oppressive but imprisoned" which sums up how Picasso felt during the black period during which he was caught between commercial interests and artistic interests.
Picasso didn't so much faucet objects like Georges Braques,but used the geometry of Braques',to create an style that was pure abstract combined with Braques'cubism  style.

The Red Pilgrim has been still continuing to inspire me, from different points of view, while I see this as a simple image of the  lady in red, there is such strong symbolism attached with this artwork. I am awestruck with her beauty and innocence, simplicity and spiritual appeal. The best part is I painted the work first and then after years started to find explanations for this !

White of the original paper, the emptiness that emerges as form when it is touched by black pencil or charcoal, is just like giving life to the lifeless emptiness of the white. Child's Play Making Abstracts Why Artists Choose to Make Abstract Symbolic Paintings

Making  abstracts is child's play, very often heard this statement , usually from people who do not know about art, beauty and aesthetics, and do not even try to  understand this. With art taking its place in every home today people are opening up to the concept of bringing beauty in their home, their hearts and their lives.
While abstract painting has to do more with art styles,  painting techniques and selection of colors people often wonder why artists choose to make abstract art, when they have so many options, like nature floral painting, landscape painting, still life, cubism geometric , fantasy, pop art, portraits etc.which sell faster and also bring good price.

 Painting abstracts  is no child's play it is much much more than the blob of  color you see or the strokes made on the layering of paint on the vast whiteness of the canvas.

Total symbolic spiritual abstracts painted in year 2001 till a few years I have immensely enjoyed making this first step towards abstraction. So while I loved the flow of positive energy in these abstract artworks the collection just went on and on till approximately 250 abstract spiritual works on paper!  The freedom to choose color, the freedom to lay color  right from the tubes, the twisting and turning of paper, and emergence of beauty, an abstract art.
As  I notice the collection today these seem an connection with hidden shapes, hidden symbols,  colorful energy vibrations . Now the works have much more focus and refined works ,  think my art has gone the other way from abstraction towards form. The journey so far has been enriching and have enjoyed every piece of making art.

 It is the abandon of all barriers which allows the artist total freedom to paint. Some artists meditate and then imagine the forms and then begin painting abstract. Then there are some who try out different painting styles and techniques, the layering as in color field painting, the use of objects, stamping, use of sponge, use of geometric instruments and in fact just about any way to make a new original piece of art, what we call, abstract art. Scribbling is art, lines are art, object painting, stamping is art, scratching paints is art, there are immense possibilities  in abstract art, leading to a temporary halt,  result,  a beautiful work of abstract art.

 The difference between a child's art and an evolved artists' abstract art, is the choice, selection, thought  processes, and emotions behind the use of color, technique and making of an abstract art painting. Some artists paint listening to music, some inspired by poems, songs, books paint abstract symbolic art as an expression extension of this  ideas and emotions.

 One thing I agree is common between child's art and an evolved artists art, the abandon  , freedom of painting, this is the same, an abstract artist very often regresses to the original true nature of every human being , that is innocence, love and compassion, which is visible in their abstract symbolic spiritual art. While a child paints for personal happiness so does the abstract artist make art, not bothering about the sequence of the color flow, the choice of colors, or the end result, it is the process, the journey that is enjoyable and here the destination is not important.
While a child who does not know that a circle has to be perfect round, a square has to have even four corners,  an abstract artist after studying, practicing so much art and having knowledge , evolved so much in life experiences, has to come to terms with total abandon, erase the information learned,  and paint these beautiful sacred shapes, with pure innocence.
Artists choose to make abstract art after evolving, after practicing , after breaking free from the physical forms and then leading towards abstraction. There is a lot of hard work involved before reaching this spiritual enlightened stage. As our eyes view abstract paintings each one tries to find out meanings, interpret that abstract painting, and believe me  it is always different, for different viewers, that's the magic of abstract art.

Yin Yang Paintings Symbolism Meaning Why Buy Yin Yang paintings

Yin yang paintings and the symbol of Yin Yang is seen in paintings , materials , dresses scarfs, T shirts and even as tattoos. This Tao symbol of Tibetan origin is universally accepted as representing the two energies Yin, that is female and Yang that is male.
It is believed that every individual , everything, every object is  made up of tow   types of energies, active and passive. Colors representing these two types of energies when used in any painting  bring out harmony and well being. Try being near vibrant yellow red gold cushions and  then dull brown black ones you will immediately feel the difference in energy.
Every home must reflect the energy of the inmates.  When one loves sober neutral colors go in for minimum vibrant highlights in room in form of paintings , cushions, plants, upholstery or knick knacks. Too much color will harm the chi of the room. In offices, board rooms and hotels,  where more energy is required add a touch of vibrancy in form of colorful symbolic or geometric paintings.
Yin Yang representing two type of energy forces the symbol always has the darker Yin pulling down energy and the Yang white, pulling upward direction of energy.

Simple Sweet water fall Paintings Understanding Golden Rain Symbolic Painting

 Simple sweet water fall colorful paintings, small paintings   done at one sitting are always beautiful and project a rare special aura of happiness.  Colors in themselves speak, sacred geometry symbols, shapes speak for themselves in cubism artworks and many times the viewer is drawn to these magical shapes and colors in a abstract painting.
Place these water fall paintings in the best Feng Shui sector, which loves the element water, north. They not only look beautiful but also attract great opportunities, wealth and business luck.

Today I take two beautiful paintings abstract cubism and try to explain in simple these colorful artworks. "Rains in the Sky rainbows  in My heart, a colorful   painting done on oil sketch paper in year 2005. While it was a rare experience to see the rainbow from my window in rainy season in the year 2005, the emotions came out as a colorful painting on paper.
Waterfalls overflowing in rains are the most beautiful sight and as  we are surrounded by beautiful  hills  and mountains the region  becomes quite enchanting during rainy season.
The happiness, feelings emotions of being free to experience the sky, connected directly with the universe, the fresh fragrance of Flowers and the newly wet soil , all in all brought about this colorful painting. With the one rainbow when I imagined the total measure of happiness , it was unlimited, hence the concept came up of rainbows in my heart.
