Whenever you consider buying paintings from an online art gallery or art dealer always consider certain points before clicking the button for "Buy Now' Here I am discussing about the price of the art work.
Below each art work or painting the artist has displayed the medium it is done in, the size, the year of the artwork and also the price. You select an artwork for purchase and want to finalize the deal by clicking.

As you proceed on the online payment portal you are urged to add GST charges, shipping charges, frame charges etc. and then the cost shoots up to higher that what the sale price was mentioned first. Later sometimes also on delivery you have to pay transport charges/customs for international art purchases,  and you are astonished by the rate which has gone up suddenly. The painting you bought from a local art gallery would have been better! this is in bad taste for art sales online and creates a negative experience for you which you transfer to your friends and colleagues. You hesitate to buy painting again online and also share to your friends and family's to avoid online art purchases. 
For this you have to consider all the costs incurred during the purchase of anything online. It is always understood that you have to pay certain charges for transport if the painting is from an artist of a  foreign country. Mostly transport in the same city maybe free, but for a different state or country it may have certain extra charges. .
Many art websites and galleries have mentioned prices for paintings within the city and for outside limits. Usually the artist may also add a line quoting that all transport charges included in the final price mentioned. In such deals you will not have to pay extra amount after the purchase and you can get the correct figure of the amount required for purchase. In case this is not mentioned always email the art gallery, artist or art dealer regarding this aspect before buying paintings online
With experience many art galleries are quoting prices with added transport charges. here the buyer gets the right amount at a glance and can consider about the purchase immediately. If there are extra charges then the deal may take some time and sometimes even lead the buyer to another website or art gallery. Since time is an asset and decisions about purchase are quick one has to consider all details before going in for the purchase of paintings. By looking at the exact price one can judge the artwork and consider the purchase appropriately.

The price quoted below each of my reiki painting is all inclusive of GST, packing shipping and I always sell my paintings without frame, which is clearly written in description of each painting below the image of artwork.

The world web is so wide that it is very difficult to select an online. art gallery for purchasing artworks from. Here a few suggestions are put forward for the buyer of art and paintings from online galleries.

You have decided which theme and subjects for paintings you are interested in and now you narrow down your search for art galleries who have those works and artists that pertain to that particular field of painting. Nowadays many art galleries have their own website and here if you stay in that city you can also give a visit to their gallery for authenticity.
2) Price suggestions and negotiations are also important. You don't want to select a piece and after showing interest find out that the quoted price is very high. Instead of wasting time inquire about the price list first. Many online art galleries have artworks along with prices under each work. If the artist has request price mentioned then you can contact the artist or the art gallery by email for the pricing.
3) See the history and home page of the online art gallery. This indicates if they are established and have been doing business since the past many years or are a new entrant in the field of art. New galleries may suddenly close down and also they may not have a set pattern for buying and selling.
4) Any at gallery must have a mixture of artworks of famous and senior as well as new and emerging artists paintings. This helps in maintaining the freshness and newness of the gallery. You can talk with friend sand colleagues who have already purchased art from an art gallery for guidance on this matter.

There are many online art galleries which one can access to on the internet. It becomes difficult to select artworks and one is confused as to whom to approach for the deals and many buyers hesitate to buy from unknown sources.

Very Important - The Size of Paintings

Whenever we think or purchasing an artwork the first thing we see is the paintings theme and colours. We see the physical image photo of the painting and get attracted to this. Size is really very important otherwise you end up buying a smaller painting or sometimes larger one and have difficulty to display in available space.  We all have special likes and dislikes about topics we prefer to display in our homes. Some like landscapes and some like figurative or still life artworks. Some prefer nature drawings and especially flowers and gardens are universally accepted by everyone.

The most important thing we forget is the size of the painting. Many of us are misguided by the picture of the artworks displayed on the internet. The sizes are always mentioned and one has to carefully read the details of the size and framing details presented by the artist. The painting may appear to large or too small online whereas in real it may be of a different size.

All photographs are taken by high resolution cameras for display on the internet. However much you like a artwork it is advisable to think about the size and measure the space allocated on your wall for that particular artwork. After framing the size of the artwork may increase and also this will depend if the artwork is of paper then attaching extra space and boards from the edges to support the artwork will also take up more space. If the painting is too small the concept and theme may go unnoticed on a large wall and the same work that shows all details on the online gallery website will not be seen very clearly on a large wall.
Hence size of the artwork to be purchased must be given much thought before going in for online purchase of any painting or artwork. Read size and measure it in your home wall where the artworks is going to be displayed. 

Before buying art online do check the details especially the size of the painting!
