Menlo Park? the strange title and subject today,

no its a very familiar word for me since I have followed Robin Sharma and do so obsessively follow his you tube videos and Instagram for inspiration, and his always mentioning..find your menlo park!!!

The symbolism of this place is that it was such a tight bubble of focus that brought out the best in Edison. We need such places, we all do. especially people in creative fields. 

With the images and over exposure to thousands of thoughts per milli second we all need this quiet corner, to recharge, to reinvent, to get creative ideas, to  get clarity for our goals, to find direction to our life. Can you be quiet for a second, no, our brain never seems to be quiet. and of course not to mention the thousands of item we keep checking our phone for latest updates and messages!

Is it possible to create anything fresh with this breaking focus? 

Finally we all have to take some major steps to create tight bubble of focus{penned by Robin Sharma).

So I have taken the steps, no updates, except for checking some close family messages. Another insight came upon me is that my art buyers will not be flattered by my social media statuses, every few hours! In fact, I would really question the creative nature of artists who are so completely over the social media 24x7! seriously, when do you make art?

Going through all these thoughts for more than a few months and questioning my sanity and my making art, here I am, finally on the verge of some happiness to have made up the inventory, list of my paintings, reaching the number 2021, and more are there to be listed, I have done more than two thousand five hundred paintings that remain.. most on paper and on canvas from year 2000. torn thousands , burned them, recycled them, upcycled them, and these precious ones remain. The framed in wood paintings are saved, so varnished them , clicked close up photos,  as they are in good condition. Some have developed cracks, so I have mentioned in the description of each painting on my website.

  It is so easy nowadays to buy paintings online. you receive them at any place in the world and you can also gift a painting to receiver without actually doing anything except payment click.  The easier it has become for artists to sell art online the more challenging it has become for buyers. So many fake art galleries' have sprung up online. So many free art websites boast of selling art and show may sales but are artificially jacked up and prompted through advertisements. 

Need to buy paintings for home or office -Read the details or email the artist you are buying a painting from. I have found that my small paintings look so large on the laptop screen while the large canvasses look smaller and bit simplified. I don't know, this must be something technical to do with digital cameras and pixels, which I am not so savy.  Why most people don’t achieve success, why do they fail? ever though of this?  with the beginning of this Fantastic 2021 let us start afresh and really work towards achieving success in life. When people blame luck, destiny, relationships, family, finances and the many ten thousand reasons why they couldn't keep the job or achieve success in business, lose weight,  it brings me to a blank statement- these are excuses. and the disease is called excusitis! One important sign of such people is that whenever you meet them they complain and whenever someone suggests anything to help them out of their problems they say we have already done this and that and it never works and then they move on with the daily cycle of complaining and living life with bitterness towards others and self. You can guide them for some time, assist them for some time with financial support and practical help but then after that you have to let them be. You can take a horse to the river but you cannot make it drink the water even if the horse sees the water, that last step, the horse has to take.

Failure is a term you must always avoid. Either you win of you learn and move ahead. Another thing I have noticed is the confusing presentation of the term positivity. Being positive is important but being grounded and practical too is very necessary for success in life. you cannot expect a person with less education and qualification to get a high paid post in a company. yes, but miracles do happen with less qualified people getting successful in business- that too is a result of some right mentors and support in life of such people. Like a successful artist whose artworks command $ in five figures or more have given their life for making art obsessively and also done lots of publicity, exhibiting art and presenting art to different art collectors for them to reach that heights in their art career. You cannot expect a person painting in a corner of the world without sharing art to sell art or make money with their art and hence many artists die off without the world appreciating their beautiful talent.

You have to begin with clearing your thoughts and stop the monkey brain chattering about hurdles and negative results. forget for once the past negative experiences before you start the trust in the Universe. Doing the same things will give you the same results. If you keep on repeating nothing good happens, then the Universe approves of your wish! So begin with what you most fear. Face it and you will see unique paths unfold. With every healing art purchase I always add specific intentions wish fulfillment energy to the artwork. It is mostly customized if asked for by the buyer with little symbol changes before sending the art to the receiver. 

Simply jot down your goals. be practical and realistic with some added limitless hope. Start working after planning. Years would go by without planning hence it is necessary to put energy to those works that bring you results. Reiki allows you to change your perspective and hope springs up. The person becomes more open to receiving energy, medication, and heals faster with best treatments.. Reiki brings new mentors, new guides and best doctors into your life. 

Most people fail because they continue asking for the wrong things. They keep doing and repeating the wrong actions. they keep in the trap of energy draining people who demoralize them and drag them down with every step. You must have heard the story of the frog who tried to jump from the well. Every frog pulled it down saying there is danger outside but they hardly realize that one day the water in the well will dry and they all will die. And the story of the monkey who is caged and given a banana after opening the cage, the brain is so customized to follow this rule that even when the cage door is kept open the monkey with hunger pangs never goes out and takes the bunch of bananas available free! The horse tied to the pole never understands its power that it is free and can break the rope easily. All these are embedded self beliefs, negative self beliefs that keep controlling  our lives unknowingly. I am asking you to first meditate and find out about yourself. your likes and dislikes,. Your plus points and limitations.  

 Change your wishes, change your words, change your list now! Instead of asking for money and lots of money, start asking for actually what you want. the universe needs to get your specific terms.  Decide an respectable figure for your every month earnings and  life and ask for that amount. Work and be prepared to work very hard when Reiki brings you opportunities. The Universe has everything in abundance.. you just have to tap this correctly! Do you need to explain your abstract art? Does a picture speak a thousand words?

A picture speaks a thousand words? isn't it? you have heard this so many times and this is the general feeling with all artists since centuries. People will always say, it is very uncool to talk about your own art, or it is so not arty to mention art prices, and it is actually marring sales by speaking or explaining about your art! Well, Who knows you are an artist? in this world of online art galleries' and selling paintings online artists do have to explain and express their ways techniques, emotions of why they painted a certain piece of artwork and how it emerged or what is the story behind a painting.

I have been painting since year 2000 and have gone through all that and done that! This is so confusing, when I used to keep quiet for years and paint in solitude people would say how do we understand your art and how do people know you paint? and how will people buy your paintings?  very true and I acknowledge this fact. so you must speak up and share your art.  My best advice, be yourself, and continue your creative journey of making art but also do share your art with viewers and buyers. The process you have gone through is of utmost importance. No one knows my inner struggles, my tussle of juggling between financial priorities for buying art materials, my priorities of making art in solitude when I surely would have enjoyed free times with self and family. It is the inner journey, the soul calling and the obsession to paint. The creative energies that need to be let out. The Reiki flow that finds its source and the receivers. Trust me, the pathway is not an easy one and doesn't have any blissful stops or halts, you move on and you keep moving without resting. I always mention being an artist is a 24x7 job! and you don't know when you will get paid! but you continue to bring and add beauty to the world with your art. You choose to buy painting canvasses and paints when you could buy that tempting dress. You sit for hours and hours painting passionately and joyfully adding value to the world being your aim. Hence I have never made selling art my priority, no wonder you will see thousands of artworks in my home studio and so many hundreds I have torn and burnt and yet I continue making art. 

Coming to the title- I do agree that a beautiful artwork will draw you closer, you will be attracted by shapes, colours, subjects painted, you will want to know and ask more about the painting. If its an abstract you will surely think as to why the artist may have painted this? what must be the thoughts of the artists at that time? how has the artist made this stroke? what is that tiny brush mark? was it intentional or was it just a mistake while painting the larger canvas? 

and now coming to online art display where you see a photo of the painting. you do not even smell the paints, you can't touch it, you may not see the textures or the strokes in detail, and then you can't understand the artworks energy, the purpose of that art. here comes descriptions and story behind the making of artworks. Now with online art galleries' and online art websites of individual artists you do have to talk and talk and talk more about the process the subject the art and the why you painted that piece! A picture or photo of a painting will not speak the complete story. it may challenge your thoughts but yet the hidden mystery remains. 

Being an artist myself, a healing artist, sharing about symbolism in art and making reiki symbol artworks,  I do have to explain why and what a symbol means, what energy it brings, how does it benefit, what to expect from my art. I will surely say that photographs of paintings never do justice to the original actual paintings. When people say they stand for hours staring at an original Rothko and they cry, then the magic still exists in the originals isn't it? I have to reach that, I don't know whether this aim will be achieved in this lifetime but I will strive to work towards this..to make my art speak a thousand words!

I have tried the Reiki healing arts meditation videos to share the energy, to make you experience live flow of Reiki. Yet the mystical energy of originals is out of this world experience! when you actually touch a painting, when you actually display the painting in your home space, when you see it day in and day out and that brings a smile on your face and hope of the limitless life blessings coming your way.

A good paintings is worth a thousand words, you keep explaining but you will find yourself wordless. Yet it is necessary that you share some explanations, descriptions of the art making process, the intentions, maybe the process of why that day you painted a particular symbol painting. Then also you may see some cheap larger sized artworks for sale online through online art selling websites which are prints that are framed in cheap acrylics frames thus making them affordable and remember these frames bend with few months of displaying the art prints. Choose cheaper artworks when you have the tendency to refurnish your homes decor frequently. If you are a real art lover and would buy for the artists name then the path of buying art is different. 

Then in descriptions you also share the materials used and the size of your painting. You may display the art in modern decor rooms, use an app like art placer app for displaying art according to the size perspective. You of course cannot explain every detail but a few words to describe your painting does guide buyers to understand the art before choosing top buy it.

Does that mean art is not self explanatory? No,  that is not so. Abstract paintings done with no specific intentions with just a play of colors do draw buyers with their visual effects. In such paintings there is actually no need to share any descriptions except for the materials sued and the size of the artwork. 

You actually see a painting and instantly connect with it, you just have to have it, yes, that too happens. then here you don't need any explanations. This happens when you have been following an artist and love their style of painting or love their purpose of painting. I personally understand that I always paint in the mode/the moment where i am actually not present, that is getting totally involved with the artworks, being one energy with the canvas/paper, the brush, the paint and my soul. There is no space for negativity, or any other thoughts except for the purpose of making that art piece. Writing symbols comes intuitively, the brush moves, the symbols flow, I keep them raw. I do understand styling words, calligraphy, arty texts but then I like to keep my calligraphy raw, innocent and simple. When you visit an art gallery you see tiles and then view art in silence. trust me I love the feelings. Art actually speaks. You may find that there is no one to explain but the painting and you. There is a Title that hints upon the art. That is magical. But in online art display you do have to open up some words supporting your art to explain a bit of the process, materials, the history ,the subject and the intentions', and not to forget, the shipping charges! Ha ha ha that is an important subject yes, shipping charges do take a lot of money and also the packaging of artworks.
